Chichester Cathedral. Spire and copper roofs of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Chichester. The cathedral was founded in 1075 and consecrated in 1108. The building has significantly changed since it was originally built, due to a series of fires, vandalism during the English Reformation and a lightning strike in 1721. Following this event , it was rebuilt in poor quality stone and collapsed in 1861, after which it was immediately resurrected by George Gilbert Scott and its present height is 82 metres. Photographed in Sussex, England, UK.
