Glacier snout. The glacier snout, or terminus, is the terminal end of a glacier. Ice from the glacier breaks off here, forming icebergs in the glacial lake below. This is the Fjallsjokull glacier, which is on the southern edge of the Vatnajokull ice cap in Iceland.
