Lady Margaret Lindsay Huggins (1848-1915), British astronomer, wearing academic robes. Lady Huggins, born Margaret Lindsay Murray, was the wife of the astronomer Sir William Huggins. She was a talented astronomer herself, and from 1875, after their marriage, she published several papers jointly with him. They worked on spectroscopic studies of 'nebulae' (which then included galaxies), including the true nebula the Orion Nebula.
