Seretide inhalers are not designed to treat serious bouts of asthma, but deliver a steroid drug that reduces inflammation in the lungs and reduces the chance of a serious asthma attack. It can also relieve minor wheezing, as it combines both preventative and reliever aspects of an inhaler. More serious asthma attacks still require a separate inhaler. Seretide is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, and is available in three strengths; Seretide 100, Seretide 250, and Seretide 500.
