The fundus is the interior surface of the eye. A fundus camera is used to check for fundus problems such a detached retina and glaucoma (high pressure inside the eyeball).It can also produce specialist images such as retinal angiographs, where fluorescent dye highlights the retina's capillary system, revealing any hidden eye abnormalities.
