Uterine septum, image 1 of 4. This endoscope view inside the uterus shows that the organ has been divided in two by an internal wall or septum (white, vertical). This disorder arises when the reproductive organs develop abnormally in the embryo. Once diagnosed, the septum is often removed surgically from women of child-breaing age to prevent miscarriage.
