VDU research. Researcher analysing how to stereoscopically display images on VDUs (visual display units, also known as computer monitors) so that a 3D image is produced. Producing stereoscopic images involves superimposing left and right images that have been taken at slightly different angles. This is similar to the effect produced in human vision where separate images from each eye are brought together to enable depth perception. Photographed at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, UK.
