It feeds on furniture stuffing, groceries, wallpaper paste, & other such delicacies. It is seen here surrounded by a feast consisting of skin scales, synthetic & woollen fibres, cat fur, & soil particles. The body of the mite is divided into three distinct areas; the head region called gnathosoma, the propodosma, the second section which carries the first and second walking legs and the hysterosoma where the third and fourth walking legs are found.
