Ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta). Native to the deciduous forests and open brush of Madagascar, ring-tailed lemurs feed on fruit, leaves, seeds and occasionally insects. They are mostly grey in colour, with a distinctive black- and-white ringed tail. At about 56 centimetres in length, the lemur's tails are slightly longer than their bodies. They are prosimians, the most primitive extant primates. Photographed in Madagascar.
