Afghanistan, Kabul. The tomb of Babur (1483-1530), founder of the Mughal dynasty lies in this garden. When Babur died in 1530 his remains were bought to Kabul from Agra in fulfilment of his instructions, and he was laid to rest in a simple tomb. The marble is badly damaged by bullets and the roof of the pavilion that covers it seems ready to collapse
