England, Somerset, Montacute. Montacute is an ancient village adjoining Ham Hill whose golden stone makes the medieval and later buildings blend harmoniously together. In the early middle ages a borough was created and the layout of the village shows evidence of deliberate planning. At the entrance to the church a watering can stands ready.
