Jabrin Fort, Oman. Jabrin fort was built around 1670 by the Imam Bil'srab during the Ya'ruba dynasty. For a while, it was the Imam's capital and an important seat of learning. Jabrin fort is unlike any other fort in Oman, both in size and magnificance. The refined plasterwork, wood carving and painted ceilings are beautifully restored. Added to this is a central courtyward with its wooden balconies and a combination of various levels connected by staircases.
