A newborn Dorcas gazelle in the Nubian Desert. They are the smallest gazelle with proportionally the longest limbed. They live in semi-desert regions where succulents provide them with all the water they need. Dorcas gazelles are severely hunted and are, as such, an endangered species.The Nubian Desert of Northeast Sudan is an extension of the Sahara Desert. In parts, it has a gravel surface with very sparse vegetation.
