Camel traders drive camels through the southeast edge of the Northern or Libyan Desert, which forms a part of the Sahara Desert. Traders are accustomed to buying camels at Darfur in Western Sudan and drive them on an age-old route to a camel market in Southern Egypt, which takes them forty days.
