Coloured plaster moulding showing the upper (dorsal, top) and lower (ventral, bottom) sides of a yellowtail flounder (Limanda vulgaris, now Limanda ferruginea). The upper side is actually the right side of the fish, as they swim on their sides, with their right eye rotated round so both eyes are on the same side.
