Elliptical galaxy NGC 1132, Hubble Space Telescope image. NGC 1132 is unusual in that it contains large amounts of dark matter and hot gases, a feature more often found in galaxy clusters than a single galaxy. NGC 1132 is found some 300 million light years from Earth, in the constellation Eridanus.
