Pyramidal brain syndrome. Axial coloured magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head and brain of a 35-year-old patient with pyramidal syndrome of the brain. This is shown by the presence on the scans of many disseminated intraparenchymal hyperintensities, similar to the plaque formation seen in sclerosis-type conditions. The scan at upper left is at the level of the nose and ears, the one at upper right is higher, while the two bottom scans are towards the top of the brain.
