Black-browed albatross (Thalassarche melanophrys) in flight. This seabird glides effortlessly on strong updrafts created near the cliffs where it breeds. This albatross has a wingspan of 2 metres, allowing it to soar on the winds of the southern oceans. It feeds on marine crustaceans called krill, and breeds on Antarctic and sub-Antarctic islands. Photographed on the Falkland Islands.
