Alfred Packer (1842-1907), accused and convicted to killing and eating his five travel companions while they were snow-trapped in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado in the winter of 1873-74. A 1999 movie, RAVENOUS, was loosely based on Alfred Packer's story.
