Gigantoraptor erlianensis dinosaur, artwork. This is the largest known member of the oviraptorids. Its fossils, which date from the late Cretaceous, were found in Mongolia and described in 2007. Direct evidence of feathers were not found on the fossils, but this species is more birdlike in its anatomy than related feathered dinosaurs.
