White-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) hunting. This large eagle has a wingspan of almost 2.5 metres. It inhabits coastal regions, and feeds primarily on fish and birds, both of which it takes with its sharp talons while flying close to the surface of the water, as shown here.
