The monument and the city landscape were declared part of UNESCO?s World Heritage sites in 1988, Buda Castle District. The Fishermen's Bastion (designed by Frigyes Schluek) is made up of seven round towers - each one symbolizing the seven Magyar tribes that effectively gave rise to the nation a thousand years earlier.
