MODEL RELEASED. Ovulation advice. General practitioner (GP) advising a woman on the use of an ovulation test kit. The test stick (centre) measures hormone levels in urine, with levels of oestrogen and progesterone being highest at time of ovulation. This kit is used for family planning either: to inform the woman to engage in sexual intercourse during ovulation, as this is the most fertile period; or as an aid to contraception, informing the woman to abstain or use a barrier method (such as a condom), during intercourse.
