John H. Glenn View of payload specialist and United States senator John H. Glenn Jr. onboard the Space Shuttle Discovery (mission STS-095: 29th October-7th November 1998). He is working with advanced organic separation equipment (ADSEP) which separates and purifies biological materials in space flight. On this mission he made history as the oldest person to travel in space. Also on the mission were: C. L. Brown (mission commander), Jr, S. W. Lindsey, S. F. Parazynski, S. K. Robinson, P. Duque a mission specialist representing the European Space Agency (ESA) and payload specialist C. Naito-Mukai representing Japan's National Space Development Agency (NASDA).
