Astronaut James Bagian floating inside the Spacelab Life Sciences SLS-1 laboratory during Shuttle Mission STS-40. SLS-1 was carried in the payload bay of Shuttle Columbia on a nine- day flight between 5 and 14 June 1991. All of the seven crew members participated in a variety of experiments to study physiological conditioning to spaceflight both in-orbit and after return to Earth.
