The robot has a radar guidance system which would have prevented it colliding with his legs, the furniture or the walls. It has left a wake of hairlessness across the shop floor. It begins cleaning a room by following the walls, then cleans the rest of the floor in irregular stretches. This allows it to clean a room of any size or shape. It runs on a battery, which is recharged when the robot docks at its charging station. This robot has been developed by Electrolux, based in Hamburg, Germany.
