Road through forest. A tarmac road built though the Zombitze reserve, a national park in the south western arid regions of Madagascar. The area was threatened during 1998 when large deposits of sapphire were found. However incentives by the government and local communities have prevented any catastophe and the area was designated a national park in 2002.
