Cut glass production. Waterjet being used in the manufacture of cut glass. The waterjet (lower right) is fired from the nozzle at extremely high pressure. This pressure is so great that the jet can cut the glass cleanly. For glass cutting the water is first mixed with a granite abrasive. The jet cuts with such precision that a figure of great detail can be cut. The cutting produces little heat preventing distortion of the glass.
