Artwork entitled Cannibal Galaxies NGC 4567 and NGC 4568". The close encounter between two or more galaxies can modify their structures through gravitational interaction. The cannibal effect happens when the encounter is close and the mass of one galaxy is much bigger than the others. In this way the gravitational pull is so strong that the giant galaxy pulls out all the stars and gas from the other destroying it almost completely."
