Pullman dining car. 19th-century advert showing the interior of a Pullman dining car on the Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railroad. This US railroad company was founded in 1846, in Ohio, USA. By 1902 it covered over 1000 kilometres of railroad. Various contemporary products are advertised in this scene. Through the window is the factory of the Mosler Safe Company, which had relocated to Hamilton, Ohio, in 1891. The US Pullman Company, founded in 1867, provided luxury dining and sleeping railway carriages. This advert was published on 27 January 1894 by the Strobridge Lithographing Company.
