Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus) incubating in a "nest box" placed in a bay of Porsanger fjord. These nest boxes were originally used to provide a supply of eggs for food to local inhabitants, but this practice has now come to an end and the birds use them because they offer greater security from predation by Rats, Foxes and Inundation by extra high tides.Porsanger, Arctic Norway.
