Konrad Hochedlinger, Austrian geneticist. Hochedlinger studied in Vienna, obtaining his doctorate in mammalian development in 2003 with groundbreaking research on cloning carried out at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA. He became a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and since 2006 has led a research group studying the molecular mechanisms of cellular reprogramming.
