Archaeopteris hibernica, fossilised tree branch. The lower section of the branch bears looses cones. This early tree from the Upper Devonian was first thought to have been a fern frond. It was found in Kilkenny, Ireland. This specimen is part of the collections held at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
