This tram, drawing power from overhead electric cables, is on the route from Charlottenburg to Spandau Hill. The first horse tram in Berlin had opened in 1865, followed by the first electric tram in 1881. By 1910, all the trams had been converted to run on electricity. This engraving dates from 1888.
