Long-legged fly in amber. Amber is the fossilised resin of various conifer trees. Insects and other organic material can be trapped in it and preserved. Some amber specimens are millions of years old, while others are much more recent. This specimen is 38 million years old, dating from the Paleogene Period. It was found in Estonia.
