Two male nyala (Tragelaphus angasii) confronting each other at a watering hole amongst a herd of females. Usually the subordinate male withdraws, but occasionally there is a fight involving the horns, which can lead to serious injury or death. Nyala live in herds of up to 40 members in dense bush with access to water in southern Africa. It is a grazer and browser that eats a wide variety of vegetation.
