The Riverdance was shipwrecked off Blackpool, UK, on 31st January 2008. It was one of 3 ships lost that day off the UK. The ship was hit by a huge wave that shifted the vehicle cargo on the decks causing the ship to list violently. The crew were airlifted off by RAF helicopter before the ship ran aground.
