Mars rock drill hole. Image showing a hole drilled into a rock target called Telegraph Peak, by NASA's Curiosity rover on the surface of Mars. Telegraph Peak is the third target within the Pahrump Hills outcrop of Mount Sharp. The hole was drilled to collect a sample for analysis by the laboratory instruments inside the rover. Image composed of multiple images taken at different focus settings by Curiosity's Mars Hand Held Lens Imager (MAHLI), on 24th February 2015.
