The Order of St. Blaise was born in Armenia in the 12th century and takes its name from Saint Blaise; patron saint of the kingdom. Its religious wing performed missionary work; and its military wing defended the country against the Muslims.The Order of Montjoie (Mountjoy) was a military order during the crusades.
