Location de Diables E. Prunet Fondee en 1759 - Barrows (literally "devils") for Hire E. Prunet Founded in 1759. This firm was over two hundred years old providing the very heavy, clumsy, well-built wooden barrows ("devils") for the porters who worked at night in the giant central food market of Les Halles. Emile Zola who wrote his novel "Le Ventre de Paris" - "The Belly of Paris" - would certainly have passed by this business as he walked around the area of Les Halles. Quartier of Chatelet - Les Halles, 1er arrondissement, Paris, France, circa 1966.
