Valuable Dutch canaries arrive for Crystal Palace show . Crystal Palace will be a land of song when 5 , 000 entries in the National Show of Cage Birds are gathered together for exhibition at the Crystal Palace on Thursday January 31 . Twenty specimens of a species of canary never before shown at the exhibition are entered from Holland and the Foreign Bird section of the show is said to be the first ever staged .
