The Director General of the Territorial Army , Lieutenant General Sir Walter Kirke , Colonel Commandent of the Royal Artillery took the salute . Seven brigades of the Royal Artillery took part in the march , which was designed to aid recruiting in both the Regular and Terretorial branches of the Royal Artillery .
