Admiral Fisher sees Nelson's signal hoisted at "Victory" Trafalgar Day ceremony. Admiral Fisher, Commander-In-Chief at Portsmouth watched Nelson's famous signal "England expects" hoisted on "Victory" when he attended the Trafalgar Day ceremony aboard the flagship in dry dock at Portsmouth. As the fore topgallant mast and fore top sail yard are down for repairs the signal was displayed hoist by hoist to them mizzen truck and ships in port acknowledged it by dipping and re-hoisting the answering pennant.
