Dogs trained for police duties at Berkshire kennels. 30 dogs, some of them mongrels, which will eventually accompany a London policeman on lonely beats, are being trained under a Home Office experiment for police duties at Washwater, near Newbury, Berkshire. The animals are taught to guard a policeman's cycle while he searches a house, to intercept anyone coming out, and even to search a house while the officer remained outside.
