Steve Donoghue's string at Ashtead. Pat Donoghue, as assistant. Steve Donoghue, now a racehorse trainer, has moved his horses from the West Llsley stable to the establishment of Pat Donoghue, his son, at Ashtead, near Epsom. Pat is assisting his father, and so is Steve's old friend, Dick McCormick, who has been with Attie Persse, the trainer, for 18 years. Steve moved to his string because he was unable to come to any arrangement with captain Gooch over the West Ilsley stables. He has 25 horses under his care. Photo shows, Steve Donoghue's horses exercising at Ashtead. 14 November 1937
