Sympathising with the keepers whom he thought may be suffering from the after-effects of the Christmas festivities, Jackie, the chimpanzee,, presided over the medicine chest at the London Zoo and administered Boxing Day doses. As the Zoo was closed on Christmas Day, Jackie and all the other animals were saved the penalties of departure from normal diet.
