Welsh Guards new musical director leaves band for first time. Lieutenant T S Chandler, LRAM, ARCM, the new Director of Music, Welsh Guards, led the Welsh Guards Band for the first time at the changing of the guard, at St James's Palace. Lt Chandler was formerly bandmaster of the Royal Tank Corps. He succeeds Major a Harris , MVO, LRAM, who is retiring, as musical director of the Welsh Guards.
