Monza, Italy: The flying Scot, Jackie Stewart wins the 40th Italian Grand Prix here Sept 7th and clinches the 1969 World Driving Championship. Stewart is seen (centre), beating Jochen Rindt, of Austria (on left), and the France'sJean Pierre Beltoise on the finishing lin. Piloting a Matra- Ford, the 30 year old Scot covered the 68 lap, 234 1/4 mile race in one hour, 39 minutes 12.2 seconds. His average speed was 141.91 MPH. Rindt took second place, and Beltoise, third. 9th September 1969
