Cannes: The 2,500 mile 20th Alpine Rally ended at Cann and of nine cars awarded the Coupe des Alpes four of them British three were Ford Zephyrs. The same three cars each had a place in their class 2,000 c.c. tourist car class. 1st. Peter Riley and Alick Pitts; 2nd T.C. Harrison had his son John; 3rd Edward Harrison and J.W. Fleetwood. Cuth Harrison, a Sheffield Motor Dealer, and his son John in the Ford Zephyr at Stelvio Pass during the rally, in which they ere awarded a Coupes des Alpes and also 2nd place in the 2,000 c.c. tourist car class. Edward Harrison T.C.'s other son, driving another Zephyr, was also the winner of Coupes des Alpes and won 3rd place in the same class. 29 June 1959
