Race here ,are 24 year old Rhodesian Champion, Gary Hocking (left) of Bulawayo, and Mike Hailwood (right) of Oxford, England. Hailwood streaked ahead in the last lap to win from Hocking who was placed second. Both were riding M.V. Augusta machines - Hailwood's time over the six laps was 2 hours 16 minuets 24.2 seconds, with an average speed of 99.59 MPH. 7 June 1962
